Zuni Poi Swings are a new twist on an old game from Polynesia. Long ago, the Maori women were not allowed to speak in the presence of their men, so they resorted to doing something with their hands in the form of a dance or game - using the Poi. Poi balls, weighted lengths of woven yarn with streamers, were also used by the rest of the tribe to increase their flexibility, add strength in their hands and arms, and improve coordination. Zuni Poi Swings can still do all that, plus they are soooooooo cool looking!
